“Those who love peace must learn to organize as effectively as those who love war.”
- Martin Luther King Jr.

Gather Peace is the First Digital Monument to Peace

Peace is no longer just a matter for our leaders to decide. Thanks to the Internet, any one of us can reach across oceans and borders and make peace, one to one, with another.

And if the whole world gathered in one spot to have a grand conversation, what should we say first?

"Peace."

"Melino" (Tonga)

We can’t get peace by paying someone or voting for someone else to do peace for us. Whoever you are--your race, nationality, gender, politics or religion—I invite you to receive the peaceful intentions of others, and more importantly, to offer your own.

30 people from 7 countries have gathered here. Join Us.

Add a message, a prayer, a hope, or just your name to Gather Peace.

More Than You Know

fragments fleeting.

a laugh.

kind words.

Far Flung,

orbits apogee, perigee.

Unrelenting tides ebb and flow.

words on the wind ,

profoundly touch, alter,

butterfly kisses.

forgotten kindness,

remembered anon.

so many exchanges,

renewed.

Chronos marches,

Eros sublime.

Memosyne recalls

soul entwined.

beyond words, ineffable,

friends.

I’m in the last phase of my life, but i am so inspired by the energy i feel from young people. I think that as they come into leadership positions of our societies, they will abandon the old ways of thinking and being that separate us from one another. Hopefully we become a united world rather than separate divided countries.

Today I saw an interview with Justin Trudeau. He was asked about Trump's trade war. He said the people of Canada are not against the people of America. As people, we stand together. We are friends. We are co-habitants of this continent. Together, we can see that the US government just has a short-sighted, unfortunate, unproductive policy.

The policy will cause suffering, more so for the people ...

I love this bit from Rumi.

There is a field

Beyond right

Or wrong . . .

I will meet you there.

To me it talks about peace, about meeting people where they are, as people.

God bless you. God bless all of us together today!

Everyone deserves the freedom to live an authentic life. Your lives matter. Your existence is powerful, and every step you take toward living as your true self is a testament to the strength and resilience within you.

You are deserving of love, respect, and kindness, and your presence in this world makes it a richer, more beautiful place. Never forget that you are valid, worthy, and more than enou...

I want the peace of God.

“To say these words is nothing. But to mean these words is everything. If you could but mean them for just an instant, there would be no further sorrow possible for you in any form; in any place or time. Heaven would be completely given back to full awareness, memory of God entirely restored, the resurrection of all creation fully recognized.”

Years ago I had the great honor to teach yoga to children. I never taught yoga to children before so when we had our first class I had the children stand with their eyes closed and said to them, “now feel your inner peace.” I opened my eyes and noticed one girl squinting as if she was really concentrating and a moment later she said, “I can’t feel my inner peace.” Soon others chimed in, “I can’t f...
